Neurotoxins

What are neurotoxins?

Neurotoxins are controlled doses of botulinum toxin type A to prevent muscle movements that wrinkle the skin over time. As we age, repeated muscle movement and reduction in collagen and elastin in the skin result in lines that no longer smooth away once the face relaxes. Neurotoxin injections limit these movements to reduce the development and appearance of dynamic wrinkles and fine lines. Neurotoxins usually last around 3-4 months depending upon type and individual body metabolism.
